How to select pages

Every page renders as a thumbnail once you add your PDF. Click any thumbnail to mark it for extraction โ€” a red checkmark appears on selected pages. Click again to deselect. The order pages appear in the output follows their original order in the source document, regardless of the order you click them in.

Extract vs. Split โ€” which one do you need?

Extract Pages is for when you want one specific set of pages pulled out โ€” say, just the signature page and appendix from a long contract. If you instead want to divide a whole document into several separate files by page range, Split PDF is the better fit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I select pages out of order?
You can click thumbnails in any order โ€” the output PDF will still list the selected pages in their original document order, not your click order.
What if I don't select any pages?
The Extract button stays disabled until at least one page is selected, so there's no risk of accidentally producing an empty file.
Does this modify my original file?
No โ€” your original PDF is never changed. A new, separate PDF is created containing only the pages you selected.
Is there a page count limit?
No limit is enforced; very large PDFs may take a few seconds longer to render thumbnails.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No โ€” extraction happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing is sent to a server.
